You will find the village of Boroas, commonly known today as Broas, in Mafra, parish of Cheleiros. There used to be 22 buildings in the Village of Boroas, being that 8 of them were family homes and the remaining ones were farming houses.

Meeting point is at Odrinhas Archeological Museum, heading out towards Almorquim and taking then the Old Well trail during Summer months, of an astonishing beauty, crossing a dense forest area with nice views from across the valley… or straight to the old wind mill, taking the roman road ahead… in Winter Season with less muddy accesses!




The history tells us…

No, come along and join us on this new adventure and found about the history of Boroas! If desired, there is the option of inviting a local Historian who had an academic work publish about Boroas, to boost your interest in the village's history.

Technical Details

- Moderate hike with 14km in length, with a relevant up, and accordingly, down path;
- Please dress considering some sun exposure and maybe some windy and occasionally rain;
- Remember to bring some sun protector;
- Don’t forget to hydrate yourself and bring some snacks along for the ride!
- Personal Accidents Insurance and Civil Liability is included
