The West Shores of Sintra & Views of the Atlantic Ocean

The rough west coastline of Sintra represents, according to one of our greatest poets, Luís de Camões, the place where land finishes and sea begins! Having that in mind, we invite you to spend a few hours hiking a trail overlooking the ocean and some of our beautiful beaches – being that some of them are wild and almost not reachable!

You Choose

We offer you two choices within the same tour, which if you are a true hiker and enjoy long hours away from civilization, can easily, be combine into one longer hike!

Praia Grande to Ulgueira

Praia Grande means exactly that, among the small hidden beaches of Sintra, this is probably one of the longest and at its very end has dinosaur’s footprints on the side of the cliff.

Highlights

- Praia Grande Cliffs
- Dinosaur’s Footprints;
- Praia da Adraga
– Restroom stop;
- Buraco do Fojo and it’s legends;
- Ulgueira
– Beautiful traditional village
- Almoçageme.

Good Ways To Walk

Code of conduct and good practice
